New Calatog Excitement

All the demos who are at the Stampin' Up! convention were able to see the new catalog yesterday! I can just sit behind and read the news and be excited about the new stuff and start making my wish list. I don't think my bank account will be too excited LOL. Here is a little sneak peak of the new catalog cover, from someone who is at convention (I can sit here and wait paitently to receive my catalog) There are so many things I am excited about.
Tart and Tangy set made it to the new catty, as well the summer picnic dsp, as well die cut blooms, perfect day rub-ons and the styled silver hodgepodge as well there will be a new very vanilla hodgepodge hardware. Bloomin' Beautiful made it too!
From the previous mini Seasons of Joy made it, Merry and Bright and Holy Triptych, and one with the pumpkins (which I love, can't remember the name at the moment)
There will be more flower fusion in baja breeze, chocolate chip etc
more ribbon! Woo Hoo! And the chocolate chip 1/4" grosgrain ribbon is BACK!!

Oh, there is so much excitement, I wish I was at convention too.Oh well, maybe next year

My Friend

I can do simple cards too! LoL.
For this card I used the stamp set " Blossoms Abound"( I think that was the name) which is retiring on August 10th. I stamped the lilies with pretty in pink classic ink pad on very vanilla cardstock, and the leaves in kiwi kiss and old olive classic ink pads, then I stamped the second step of the flowers with rose red craft ink pad and emossed them with iridiscent ice embossing powder. On the end I stamped the sentiment in basic black and added some dew drops, then I mounted it on rose red cs, and then on the kiwi kiss card base. SO simple!

Java Jumpers

This card is in honor of one of my best friends, Silvija, she lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Yesterday I was talking to her and told her about this stamp and she said it was me and her, so there you go!
I colored the House Mouse image with copic markers, mounted on apricot appeal cardstock. The card base is certainly celery and I embossed the bashful blue piece with my cuttle bug and the swiss dots embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment (from Make it Count SU! level 1 hostess set)in certainly celery and punched it out with the oval punch. I put 3 buttons which my upline Claire gave me on Saturday when we had the brunch over her place.

Sunflower Smooch!

Here is another House Mouse card. This is my first House Mouse stamp I purchased. I LOVE sunflowers, so it had to be a sunflower. :) For this one I used Summer Sun, Old Olive and CLose to cocoa SU! cardstock and embossed the summer sun layer on the buttlebug. I embellished with the old olive poly twill ribbon from the mini catalog which was available until the end of June.
I colored the image with Copic markers.

I Give You My Heart

Yesterday was bitter sweet day, in the morning I found out that my dog passed away. :( He was 13 years old, and I got him as a birthday gift from my aunt. A little black pekinez. So stinkin' cute. I was hoping that I would be able to see him at least once more in a month. Life happens!
On the bright side, we had Philly Inkers brunch over Claire's place and it was so much fun and a lot of yummy food. I will be posting the cards we made (we had shoebox swap) pretty soon. Then we went with my downline, Denise, to Walmart and then to her place so I can pick some of her house mouse stamps so I can play with them. Oh my gosh, I just love those mice!!!! This stamp is called I Give You My heart, I stamped it in pallete noir and colored with copics, used pretty in pink, always arthicoke and ruby red cs, and always arthicoke narrow grosgrain ribbon. I cuttlebug the pretty in pink cs, and the always arthicoke I punched with the scallop border punch and then with the 1/16" hole punch.

Serene Sunflowers

Here is another scarf I made. For this one I used the retired set Serene Sunflowers, which is one of my favorites, as I LOVE sunflowers. I used 4 craft inks: so saffron, more mustard, always arthichoke and certainly celery.

WOW Flowers

Ok, lets try this again. When I clicked Publish post got error and lost everything I wrote.
Here is my first card I made with the new stamp set "Wow flowers" which will be featured in the new Fall-Winter Stampin' Up! catalog .I decided to go monochomatic, so I used very vanilla, elegant eggplant and pale plum cardstock, as well elegant eggplant and pale plum classic ink pads, from accessories I used narrow grosgrain ribbon in elegant eggplant and silver brads. I used a lot of punches for this card: scallop border, scallop, 1 3/8" , 1 1/4" and 1" circle punches.
After I was done I was about to take a picture of the card, as soon as I started doing that the lighting storm came around and the power went off, so instead of the card I started taking pics of the storm. LoL. I love it when it thinders and love the lightnings, I know you think I am weird. But what I don't love is what they do to our distribution system, that means I am having PLENTY to do at work today. Here is a picture of a lightning right behind the church. This is a pic I took from our front porch.

The wedding favors at last

Ok, I think it was about time I post the wedding favors I am making for my friends, this is one version of them, the second one says Amor and on front instead Daisy whees, is stamped with watercolor joy wheel. The color combo is very vanilla, pale plum and elegant eggplant. As well I used whisper white narrow grosgrain ribbon. On the front there will be a place card with the name in elegant eggplant and the table number in pale plum. On the back there are the initials for the bride and groom and the date of their wedding (which is white out) and is stamped in versamark with Simple Serif Alphabet and Numbers and then its embossed with white ep

Kind word

Finally I got chance to play with the Serene Spring stamp set today. I have gotten so many packages lately I don't know where to start from! Today I got my scor-pal for like 6 months I was contemplating about getting it and a stamp from House Mouse. I don't know why but I think I have been into cute images the past few weeks.
BTW I just love the bunny from Serene Spring, and I keep calling it " this is my bunny, this is Fluffy, and it soo looks like her!" I think I am crazy.
I couldn't find right embelishment for the upper left corner as it looked kind of empty, I wanted to keep it SU!, but ended up with Prima flowers Supplies:
stamp sets: serene spring (hostess level 2, Fall-Winter 2008 SU!)
cs: kiwi kiss, pretty in pink, whisper white and so saffron
accessories: pretty in pink narrow grosgrain ribbon, prima flowers, fake dew drops from Michael's

Life is too short to have only one scoop

When I saw the new stamp set from C.C. Designs last week I knew I had to have it, and it came in the mail yesterday. Last night I stamped few images and took them along with me and my markers to New York, so I am not bored in the train or while I was waiting for the train to come back home. So I was coloring.
For those who know me, it's nothing new, I LOVE ice-cream, I could live on ice cream. So that is why I had to have this set, and the bear and the monkey are so stinkin' cute!
Supplies:
stamps: Sweet treats
cs: close to cocoa, whisper white, blush blossom and pretty in pink
accessories: cowboy robin's nest dew drops, ribbon from Michael's, crystal effects, 1" circle punch, copic ciao markers
ink: Adirondack pitch black and SU! classic close to cocoa.

How do you eat your Oreo cookie and your personality

Sorry no card today, but here is something interesting.
Today from work we had diversity day, a day spent in the National Liberty Museum downtown Philadelphia. It was so much fun! I get paid to see the museum. Isn't that fun? And we had a tour guide, free breakfast and free lunch, and couple fun meetings!
We had diversity excercise, where one of the managers passes couple boxes of Oreo's and we suppose to eat them, and then she told us it was a test which will tell us about out personality by the way we eat our cookies. We didn't have mild available, so that option didn't apply to us. But here is the quiz. It's FUN!

1. The whole thing all at once.
2. One bite at a time
3. Slow and methodical nibbles examining the results of each bite afterwards.
4. In little feverous nibbles.
5. Dunked in some liquid (milk, coffee...). 6.
Twisted apart, the inside, then the cookie.
7. Twisted apart, the inside, and toss the cookie.
8. Just the cookie, not the inside.
9. I just like to lick them, not eat them.
10. I don't have a favorite way because I don't like Oreos.

READ the results:

Your Personality:
1. The whole thing: This means you consume life with abandon, you are fun to be with, exciting, carefree with some hint of recklessness. You are totally irresponsible. No one should trust you with their children.
2. One bite at a time: You are lucky to be one of the 5.4 billion other people who eat their Oreos this very same way. Just like them, you lack imagination, but that's okay, not to worry, you're normal.
3. Slow and Methodical: You follow the rules. You're very tidy and orderly. You're very meticulous in every detail with every thing you do to the point of being anal retentive and irritating to others. Stay out of the fast lane if you're only going to go the speed limit.
4. Feverous Nibbles: Your boss likes you because you get your work done quickly. You always have a million things to do and never enough time to do them. Mental breakdowns and suicides run in your family. Valium and Ritalin would do you good.
5. Dunked: Every one likes you because you are always up beat. You like to sugar coat unpleasant experiences and rationalize bad situations into good ones. You are in total denial about the shambles you call a life. You have a propensity towards narcotic addiction.
6. Twisted apart, the inside, and then the cookie: You have a highly curious nature. You take pleasure in breaking things apart to find out how they work, though not always able to put them back together, so you destroy all the evidence of your activities. You deny your involvement when things go wrong. You are a compulsive liar and exhibit deviant, if not criminal, behavior.
7. Twisted apart, the inside, and then toss the cookie: You are good at business and take risk that pay off. You take what you want and throw the rest away. You are greedy, selfish, mean, and lack feelings for others. You should be ashamed of yourself. But that's ok, you don't care, you got yours.
8. Just the cookie, not the inside: You enjoy pain.
9. I just like to lick them, not eat them: Stay away from small furry animals and seek professional medical help - immediately.
10. I don't have a favorite way, I don't like Oreo cookies: You probably come from a rich family, and like to wear nice things, and go to up-scale restaurants. You are particular and fussy about the things you buy, own, and wear. Things have to be just right. You like to be pampered. You are a priss.

Copic Find, a NEW ONE

So the other day I placed order with okatu fuel for copic and I had to cancel it, as they were slim in supply and told me my order will likely be canceled. So I canceled it myself. They even upgraded it to rush service, meaning it will be here in 2-5 days (it's shipped from CA) or sooner.
